MarchRADness

As I say a lot, it is hard to believe that time is going so fast and that March is now quickly coming to an end. It was been a wonderful, super busy month, but we are SO looking forward to some sunshine and warm weather!

To catch up since my last post in early March...we have been really busy as we have had something to do every weekend.

"JAXsonisms"-Jaxson is growing quick as ever and is still such a sweet, happy, loving, cuteasabutton, precious little guy. He learns or does something new just about every day it seems like.

This past Thursday (03.21.13) he discovered that he could roll on his side. He has rolled on his side a few times since then. It won't be long and he will be rolling and turning all over the place...eeekkkk...they grow so fast ;(.

He also likes to watch cartoons on tv. He loves it and will just stare so in depth like he knows exactly what is going on :) too cute.

We take him back for his 4 month checkup on Tuesday. I have mixed feelings because he has to get his second round of shots and that is the SADDEST thing I have had to endure. But on the plus side we get to find out how much chunky weighs and he will get to start spoon feedings and baby food!! Ahhhh. I know he is going to love it.

This month was super busy. Jaxson and I went to a baby shower for sweet baby Chandler (one of my good friends, Lindsey's little boy). It was so nice to hangout with the girls and I think Jax enjoyed it as much as I did :) he is definitely a ladies man, haha. He also took his 3 month panel pictures. We should get those back tomorrow and I am so excited to see how they turned out. We attended a few of our niece, Chloe's softball games, took my kids on a field trip, and got to spend a lot of time in town with family. I also ran in my second 5k...the Color Me Rad race in Columbus with my off the chain runner friend, Brook. We finished in 38 minutes. Since I beat my time from the first 5k I am happy. And incase she is reading this, she definitely was the front runner in this one. I was very impressed and she probably could have done it in 30 had I not been there :). The race was a lot of fun and we are looking forward to the next 5k! Jaxson also got to visit the Easter Bunny and get a few pictures with him. He did good but didn't seem like he was impressed by it, haha. Jon also started building our privacy fence. We are super stoked about this as we have needed one bad. LeRoy does very well and doesn't run away but this way we can leave him out there when its pretty and won't have to worry about him. Can't wait to see the finished product- shouldn't be but a few more days! Yay!

Below are a few pics of the MarchRADness we have had....enjoy and thanks for keeping up with us!

Shamrocked it!

Can anyone believe that it is already March? Where is the time going? It seems like every time I turn around it's Friday.... I mean I'm not complaining about that, but geez- time is just'a slipping away.

Jax is up to 15lbs 4oz- YIKES. Haha, what can I say? This boy loves to eat and doesn't miss a meal. We will be starting him on baby food and spoon feedings soon. I can't wait to see how that goes. I'm not looking forward to the messes that are bound to happen. Our baby is growing up sooooo fast ;(.

So I had my first 5K on Saturday in Newnan called the 'Shamrock Run.' It was a lot of fun but let's just say it was more intense than I thought it would be. A sweet friend and neighbor of mine, Erika, did it with me and so glad she did because it would have been very boring without someone to chat with. Anywho- we walked, jogged, and ran it and finished in 45 minutes. I am happy with that. Number one (ill just use this excuse :)) I just had a baby. Number two this was my first time doing anything active in quite sometime. And number three- it was freezing with snow flurries. Ha as long as we finished in an hour I was happy and the main thing is I crossed the finish line and didn't have to be ambulanced out of there ;) haha. Jon got Jaxson up and ready that morning and came to cheer us on. It was so sweet and awesome that my boys were there... I may or may not have shed a tear or two. Jax was hilariously dressed in a snow suit and was probably 'sweating bullets.' Jon sent me a picture of him when he first put it on him (see the funny pic below) and he was not so happy about it. But he warmed up to it and had a blast being outside. He absolutely loves the outdoors ;).

After the race, Erika and I stopped by a Consignment sale. Uh oh, bad idea because they had so much cute stuff for next-to-nothing. Even though he definitely need anything, I got Jax 15 outfits (sleepers, onsies, rompers, and 3 smocked outfits) and only spent 30$. One of the smocks was only A DOLLAR!!! After that I came home and we have been lazy today with spurts of clean-mode and have literally had a fire going since 10am. I'm hoping to do something more productive tomorrow :)
