YAY.... I can brag freely here about me being a teacher and how I am about to be off for SUMMER BREAK :) With Jon having a "regular, non-teacher" job, he would prefer me to NOT talk about my upcoming 2 whole months off... which I cant say I blame him. SO I will just SAY YAYYYYYYYY! We got out last Friday and started it off by having an amazing Memorial Day weekend at the lake for the Malcolm's wedding weekend. I am looking forward to spending some sweet time with my baby love, along with (cleaning, ofcourse) reading, catching up on my shows (VampDiaries, Army Wives, and Sons of Anarchy...AHH I CANT WAIT!), catching some rays, eating lunch with Jon, and just basically doing whatever Jax and I feel like doing :).

My 1st Mother's Day
May 12, 2013 has proven to be one of my Top 5 most favorite days!!! This was my very first Mother's Day and it could not have been more special. My boys truly out-did themselves and I have been overwhelmed with happiness. Here's a recap of my awesome weekend.
Friday night we actually stayed home (for once) and after baby went to bed, we got to spend some quality time together out back..grilling and just hanging out. Saturday morning, all of us (Jon, Jax, and myself) went to run some errands. This was so nice to get out of the house as a family. We went to the bank, Home Depot (man store), and Walmart (nightmare). While at HD, the boys let me pickout the table for the front porch as an early Moms Day present. Found the bistro set (that I love) and Jaxson :) helped Daddy pick out a nice flower and pot to sit on top. I LOVE IT! *see pic below! We were gone what seemed like forever and once we finally got home, we did things around the house, before having friends over for dinner. Jaxson was asleep when they got there, and after 2.5 hours, he woke up and got to play with his friends (shout out to the Shamrocks and Jaxson's little friends- Riley & Bently). My sister and her friend also came up and hung out with us and even stayed the night!
Sunday... here at last. We woke up a little before 8 and got the coffee and cinnamon rolls going. Jaxson loves his sleep (like his moma used to :)) so he normally sleeps until atleast 8:30 (or longer). I love it because this allows me to do a few things before he gets up. Well, I noticed Jon walked up to his room and was calling for me to 'come here.' Normally, this makes me mad (lol as I am sure it does any moma) but today I was just like 'ok, whatever.' When I got upstairs to Jaxson's nursery, Jon was holding him and had something behind his back. When I got close to them, he handed me my gift and told me "Happy Mother's Day!!!" *Ofcourse, Jax was saying it too :) and just'a smiling. I was unsure what it was at first, but then discovered that it was a picture frame- one side that had a mold of Jon's handprint with Jaxson's inside of his along with Happy 1st Mother's Day and their name and ages on it. The other side had a picture of Jax and I. It was so precious and something that I will cherish forever!!!!! Jon doesn't know just how much that meant to me!
Jaxson'isms-My baby boy leaned how to sit up this weekend which made it even better! He loves and is so proud when he does it.
I'd also like to say thanks to my mom for being so special and dear to my heart. She is literally the best mom ever, hands down. Shoutout to the best mother in law ever as well, my stepmom, and my Granny. These women are so awesome and I'm glad God blessed me with them!

It's been a while
Hello Again!!! I see that it has been almost a month since my last post. I was going to post a week after I last posted, but I figured I would wait...and oops, I forgot :) SO! Its been another hectic and busy (as ballard, haha) past few weeks, and they have been full of sickness :(
While Jon was hunting I got the chance to go and watch my sister sing and play at a local coffee shop in Columbus, GA on April 20. She did such a great job and since it had been a while since I got to hear or see her, I was so glad I got to go.
The next weekend, we again loaded up and went to my dads in Hurtsburo to spend the weekend with him and my step-mom. That Friday though, around lunch, I got a text from Jaxson's daycare about him throwing up and having a small fever. Since it was close to the end of my work day, I left early, drove to the daycare to pick him up, and took him to the doctor, they wanted to make sure he didn't have an ear infection or anything major. LUCKILY, he had no ear infection and his fever had come down (PRAISE GOD!). Little chunk topped the scales at 17lbs 3.5oz. He was never fussy or anything so we were thinking his fever could be from teething and the throwing up (projectile-style) was just a fluke. We still decided to go on down to my dads. Well, during his last bottle feed before bed, he threw up yet again... called the doc, Jon and my dad went to get pedialyte...Jax hated it. He went to sleep and was fine and fever free Saturday. While the boys were hunting, Jaxson and I went to visit my granny...we had a nice morning with her. We then packed up and went to Seale, AL to support my mom, step-dad, and friends in a Horse Show. We had a blast and Jaxson loved all the excitement and all the horses. He actually got to "sit" on his first horse (my moms doings :) ) while I was over there having a mild heart-attack. My mom and step-dad got 1st place in both of their rides and overall we had a great time... cant wait to go back! Jax and I then headed south again to my dads. He had been so tired from our travels that day that he started to get a little fussy because he was so sleepy...poor fella had a big day and was worn slap out. On our way back home Sunday, we stopped back by my Granny's so Jon could do some work for her. It was a great weekend, even though little man was not feeling so well. I hate to see him sick. We did however learn that when he does have a fever, he can not have formula. His fever was from teething.
And last but not least, this past weekend, we went to Phenix City (yet again) to hangout with friends. We had a great time eating at Alcapolcos Friday night and then going to a new country place in town. When we woke up Saturday, I was not feeling that great, but just thought it could have been from the night before :) We had originally planned to go camping that night in Eufaula, but due to the NASTY weather, we didn't go. SO Jon and I left Jaxson at my moms so we could go home and clean and get some things done around the house (as well as have some "us" time). WELL, that wasn't the way it went down. Let's just say that we both came down with a NASTYYYYYYYYYY (deadly) stomach virus. We think it was the Nurovirus. Anyway, from about 2-8pm on Saturday, I threw up about 20 times (no lie- lost 8lbs). I literally thought I was dying and was begging J to take me to the hospital. Finally got out of bed around 9 that night and called my mom... my sister had now come down with the virus. At this point, we were thinking it was food poisoning from Alcapolcos. Sunday, around 6am, Jon caught the virus and I called my mom when I woke up only to find out SHE had now contracted it...so at this point we knew it was a virus and not from the food. She had the baby still. We got Jon's dad to go pick him up and he brought him home to us. I was weak but okay and we just made sure to keep Jaxson away from Jon. We have made sure to CLEAN and disinfect the house and are still praying Jax doesn't get it. My students and a lot of people that we know have gotten this deadly virus- if you are one of the lucky ones and have not gotten it, then PRAY you don't.
SO FAR this week, we have been sick-free :) AND are praying it stays this way.
Jaxson is starting to do so much. He loves to talk and make noises. He loves to roll over and tries to wiggle away when changing his diaper. A few days ago, he learned that he can "hike" his leg under him when he is on his belly, as if he is trying to "crawl." He loves to sit-up and tries to do it by himself... we are almost there. He loves to splash and play with his toys, as well as eat the washrag, while in the bath. He is literally such a joy and is so much fun. I know everyone says they have the best baby ever, but we really do. Thank you Lord for choosing US to be his parents.
Here are some pics of the last few weeks...enjoy :) XOXO
